Arriving at Tortuguero by bus
Your adventure tour will begin when we pick you up at a specific location in the surroundings of San José, and then take you on a bus to the province ofLimón, Costa Rica, where Tortuguero is located.
The trip to Tortuguero -with breakfast or lunch included, depending on the departure hour- will be an unforgettable experience, with general views of the Braulio Carrillo National Park and several areas of Limón with outstanding natural beauty.
Arriving at the Costa rican Caribbean, after a journey of about 4 hours and 30 minutes by road, we reach port La Pavona, where our guests will take a boat directly to Manatus Hotel, the ideal place to live a dream vacation.
In total, we’ll sail for an hour and a half, time for you to witness and enjoy the stunning water canals of Tortuguero, and its diverse flora and fauna.
It’s important to point out that at certain times of the year, the flow of La Pavona is lower than normal, so instead, we use the port of Caño Blanco.
Arriving at Tortuguero by air
Besides the bus travel, our guests have the option to arrive to Tortuguero by air, hiring a local flight at the airports Juan Santamaría or Tobías Bolaños. The flight lasts half an hour and tourists should inform the hotel of their arrival time, so we can pick them up at the airport track and take them to ManatusHotel.
